Role Description
The Optical Assistant role at Eyehut is a full-time, on-site position based in London. In this role, the Optical Assistant supports optometrists and the wider team by welcoming visitors, managing appointments, and assisting with pre-screening tests. Daily tasks include:

- Processing orders and payments
- Maintaining accurate records
The Optical Assistant helps keep the practice organized, ensures displays are well presented, and handles basic adjustments and fittings of frames under guidance. The role also involves responding to inquiries in person and by phone, supporting aftercare, and consistently promoting a courteous, inclusive experience.

Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and a focus on Customer Satisfaction
- Clear Communication abilities and a commitment to effective Customer Service
- Foundational Optometry knowledge or experience in an optical or healthcare setting
- Relevant experience in retail, hospitality, or clinic-based roles is beneficial
- Ability to work on-site full time in London, with good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort with basic administrative tasks, appointment systems, and point-of-sale processes is preferred
- Willingness to learn about optical products, lens options, and frame styles to better support individuals
