About the Role

Our apprenticeship gives people of all ages a chance to start an exciting career, while earning a full-time wage. Duties include booking customers in for optical tests, pre-screening, recommending suitable frames. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about providing great customer service and would like to pursue a career in optics.

What You'll Do

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

At Work

  • By giving customers top-notch advice (as well as a warm welcome to the store)
  • Booking in optical tests
  • Pre-screening patients and measuring frames
  • You'll also make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible by looking out for any little problems that crop-up

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Note: Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment
