We’re looking for passionate, hard-workers with some previous optical experience ready to confidently welcome and help customers as they walk through our doors. And once you’ve found your feet as an Optical Assistant, you won’t just have to stop there. We have plenty of professional training and development in other business areas, as well as the support of experienced Opticians and Technicians supporting you on your journey. So whatever you want your career to look like, you can bring it to life at Specsavers.

Our store

Located in the popular Longbridge town centre development, Specsavers Longbridge benefits from a high-profile position within a busy retail destination, attracting a steady flow of customers throughout the day. The store is easily accessible by both car and public transport, with Longbridge railway station just a short walk away and excellent bus links serving the surrounding areas. There is also convenient on-site parking available nearby. As part of a modern and customer-focused store, you'll have the opportunity to support a diverse range of patients while working in a fast-paced and rewarding retail healthcare environment.

You'll be joining an experienced and supportive team that is passionate about delivering outstanding customer care. Whether you're new to optics or bringing previous experience, you'll be supported with comprehensive training and ongoing guidance to help you grow your skills and build a successful career within Specsavers.   • Competitive salary depending on experience and optical qualification
  • Full Time (37.5 hours) or Part Time (30 hours across 4 days), to include working a weekend day each week

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Experience in optics or Audiology business
  • Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.
