About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Optical Assistant Receptionist to join our friendly team at Stephen Cuddy Optometrists in Fraserburgh. You’ll play an important role in providing outstanding patient care, managing appointments, supporting patients with frame selection and fittings, and helping ensure every patient receives a warm, professional experience.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent communication skills and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. Whether you have previous optical experience or are looking to start a career in optics, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
As an Optical Assistant Receptionist, you’ll assist with reception duties, bookings, dispensing, collections, adjustments and day-to-day practice administration. You’ll be part of a supportive, patient-focused team in an independent practice that values quality care over quantity.

Additional Information
- Full-time position (5 days per week)
- Previous optical experience is desirable but NOT ESSENTIAL
- Independent practice with a strong focus on personalised patient care
- Advanced technology including OCT, Optomap retinal imaging, automated visual fields and pachymetry and tonometry
- The role requires you to work one late evening clinic each week
