In a context of business growth and increasing technical challenges, you will join the team responsible for managing and supporting optical and characterization laboratories within the Imaging environments across Grenoble, Crolles, and Edinburgh.
Your Role
Your mission will be to contribute to the financial, administrative, quality, safety, and technical support activities of the laboratories.
Technical and Laboratory Support
- You will work with characterization engineers to ensure the availability of characterization data and support advanced process development, design activities, and customer projects in line with international standards.
- You will also help maintain laboratory equipment in calibration and working order, ensure compliance with laboratory manuals, and support the setup and improvement of benches, equipment, and mechanical modifications.

Financial Management
- You will initiate and track purchase requests for equipment and materials needed by the laboratories and their users.
- You will also analyze and report quarterly expenses.
Administrative Management
- You will identify, inventory, organize, and track equipment, samples, electronic boards, and other laboratory assets using internal management tools.
- You will help standardize, maintain, and update these tools.
Quality and Safety
- You will help define and implement quality and safety standards required within ST and the laboratories.
- You will participate in internal audits such as 5S and safety inspections and help maintain laboratory procedures.
Coordination and Communication
- You will interact regularly with internal teams across multiple sites, as well as with external partners such as subcontractors and suppliers.
Your Skills & Experiences
- Technician or Bachelor degrees compatible with a work-study scheme, in a management, technical, or laboratory-related field
- Knowledge of Office 365 tools: Word, Excel, Power BI
- Ability to adapt to internal software tools
- Autonomy and strong organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Responsiveness, curiosity, and team spirit
- Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and laboratory instruments
