Optical Designer
We are now looking for an Optical Designer to join a leader in the development of optoelectronic devices at their growing facility in Oxfordshire.
A large amount of your time will see you designing and developing products in line with company procedures.
In addition to your design work, you will support production and be responsible for the production of engineering paperwork to build up design records within the company’s quality system.
Working closely with other engineers, customers, and supply chain, you will ensure production meets customer requirements in terms of time, quality, and cost.
Drawing on your previous experience in production, you will support the improvement of engineering processes.

Experience:
With a strong background in hands-on optical design, using Zemax, you should have an understanding of production.
Whilst around 60% of your time will involve design work, you will also be involved in production, and therefore must have a proven track record in production.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Optics, alongside significant hands-on experience in Optical Design is essential.

Additional Information:
Candidates must be resident in the UK and be eligible to live and work in the UK, without ever requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
Salary / benefits:
Depend on Experience, c£60k plus benefits.
