Hours: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week | Tuesday to Saturday, 9am–5.30pm

Zest Optical recruitment is working on behalf of a well-regarded independent opticians group to recruit a full-time Optical Practice Manager for its established practice in Eltham, South East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced optical manager to lead a friendly team, shape the day-to-day running of the practice, and maintain a high standard of personalised patient care. You will combine team leadership with commercial management, supporting colleagues to develop their skills while ensuring patients receive a welcoming, professional service throughout their visit.

Optical Practice Manager – Role
- Manage the day-to-day running of an established optical practice
- Lead, motivate, and support the team to deliver excellent patient care
- Coach colleagues, identify training needs, and encourage professional development
- Monitor practice performance and work towards agreed business objectives
- Manage stock, budgets, and key performance indicators
- Ensure the practice meets professional and company standards
- Build strong patient relationships and maintain consistently high service standards
- Create a positive and collaborative working environment
- Full-time, permanent position working five days and 40 hours per week
- Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm

Optical Practice Manager – Requirements
- Previous experience in optical retail management
- FBDO qualification highly desirable
- Confident in leading, coaching, and developing a team
- Strong understanding of practice performance and commercial objectives
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive approach to solving problems and improving the practice
- Patient-focused with high standards of service
- Right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship
