THE ROLE

A well-established digital transformation and software consultancy in Lincolnshire is looking for an experienced Optimizely Developer to join its development team, working on enterprise-level websites, digital platforms and customer experience solutions for a range of clients. You'll design, build, customise and maintain Optimizely CMS solutions, working closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Designers and fellow Developers to deliver scalable, secure and user-friendly platforms. This is a hands-on role spanning the full development lifecycle — from technical design and estimation through build, testing, deployment, documentation and ongoing support.

Our client is an established consultancy delivering software and digital solutions to organisations across the UK. They work across bespoke development, enterprise applications and integration, and this role has come about through continued growth.

THE OPTIMIZELY DEVELOPER ROLE

  • Design, develop and maintain websites and web applications using Optimizely CMS
  • Build and customise CMS-driven solutions to meet client requirements and project objectives
  • Write reusable, scalable and maintainable code following recognised best practice
  • Work across C#,.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, SQL Server, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Develop integrations with third-party systems, APIs, enterprise platforms and cloud services
  • Collaborate with UX/UI Designers to deliver responsive, accessible experiences
  • Participate in technical design, estimation and solution architecture reviews
  • Support testing, defect resolution, deployment and post-implementation activities
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers where appropriate

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Commercial experience developing with Optimizely CMS, Episerver or Optimizely DXP
  • Strong C# and .NET development
  • ASP.NET Core, MVC and CMS-driven web application development
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive web development
  • SQL Server and data-driven application development
  • Developing and consuming REST APIs
  • Git or equivalent source control
  • Understanding of secure coding, performance optimisation and maintainable design
  • CI/CD pipelines, automated builds and deployment processes

DESIRABLE

  • Umbraco or other CMS platforms
  • Optimizely Commerce, Search & Navigation, personalisation or experimentation tools
  • headless/API-first or MACH-aligned delivery
  • Azure, Azure App Services and Azure DevOps
  • React, Vue.js or modern JS frameworks
  • SEO, accessibility and web performance
  • Agile/Scrum
