Overview: We are seeking an experienced Optimizely Commerce Technical Consultant / Solution Architect to support the ongoing development and enhancement of Convatec's global digital commerce platform. The successful contractor will work as part of a cross-functional delivery team responsible for delivering new commerce capabilities across multiple international markets.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in Optimizely Commerce and modern Microsoft Azure-based architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement solutions using Optimizely Commerce Connect.
- Provide technical leadership across new commerce features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners and development teams to produce scalable technical designs.
- Support integrations with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, PIM, DAM and payment providers.
- Ensure solutions align with Convatec architecture, security and performance standards.
- Participate in technical design workshops and architecture reviews.
- Review code quality and support engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues where required.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years delivering enterprise Optimizely Commerce solutions.
- Strong experience with:
- Optimizely Commerce Connect
- Optimizely CMS
- .NET / ASP.NET Core / C#
- REST APIs
- Azure App Services
- Azure Functions
- Azure Storage
- Azure DevOps
- CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of headless and composable commerce architecture.
- Experience integrating with third-party platforms including:
- PIM
- DAM
- ERP
- Payment gateways
- Tax and shipping providers
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
