Optometrist – Wardale Williams Halstead
If you became an Optometrist because you wanted the time and freedom to truly care for your patients' eye health, we'd love to talk to you.
At Wardale Williams in Halstead, our eye examinations aren't built around getting the next patient through the door as quickly as possible. Our standard test time is 40 minutes, giving you the space to investigate properly, explain what you've found and get to know the person sitting in your testing room. Continuity of care is a value of ours and we want to give you the opportunity to build long lasting and trusting relationships.

You'll have access to OCT technology, work with both private and NHS patients and see a varied caseload spanning comprehensive eye examinations, eye health, contact lenses and ongoing patient care.
You'll also be joining an experienced practice team with deep roots in the local community. Some of our colleagues have been caring for generations of local families for decades. Our Halstead practice has previously been recognised for both Customer Care and Community Involvement, and Wardale Williams forms part of an award-winning group of independent opticians known for putting patient experience at the heart of what we do.

About the role
What your working week could look like
This is a part-time Optometrist position over 3 days per week, including some Saturdays.
You'll enjoy:

The Optometrist we're looking for
You'll need to be a GOC-registered Optometrist with a genuine interest in providing excellent clinical care.

- Build relationships naturally and communicate with empathy
- Want to contribute ideas and have your voice heard
