Want to be the reason why people should’ve gone to Specsavers? As an Optometrist here, you’ll be the go-to for eye examinations and contact lens services, helping us keep the nation seeing 20/20.

You’ll work with the store team to deliver high-standard clinical care and customer service to meet both patient needs and business objectives. And of course, you’ll be a key part in creating a warm and friendly environment for our customers and our team.

Our Store

Specsavers in Stonehaven first opened its doors in 2010. The store sits in a prime location in Market Square in the heart of the town and is firmly embedded within the local community. Stonehaven, a pretty harbour town which lies on Scotland’s northeast coast, south of Aberdeen. The town is famous for the Hogmanay Fireball festival, an ancient tradition which is celebrated each New Year’s Eve where people swing blazing balls above their heads to ward off evil spirits. Sitting just off the A90/A92, there are excellent transport links to the store with buses and a train station just over a 10-minute walk away. Our store is an accredited Platinum Employer – this means you can expect an exceptional employee experience every single day you work here. The Platinum Employer Scheme is part of the Specsavers drive to become a famous place to work. Stores with this accreditation have been verified on five key employer standards: Recruitment, Performance Management and Reward, Talent Management, Learning and Development and Employee Engagement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
