About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Optometrist to join us in delivering outstanding patient care (part-time would be considered for the right candidate). You’ll play a key role in providing expert advice, fitting a wide range of contact lenses, and delivering ongoing care that makes patients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

This is a role for someone who values the clinical side of the job, who enjoys building trust with patients from a variety of backgrounds, and who thrives in a team that supports each other. You’ll have the time, tools and autonomy to do your job to a high standard, without feeling rushed or restricted. Collaboration is at the heart of the practice, so you’ll work closely with your teams to ensure a smooth patient journey and a great workplace culture.

All three of our sites offer free parking, appointment lengths of 30-40 minutes and dedicated DOs in every clinic, ensuring all the patients you examine and care for are given the best advice possible outside of the test room too. Our team are our most valued asset, we are very lucky to have so many lovely people in one place supporting each other at every turn. Your patients will be pre-screened with IOPs, fields and imaging. You'll get the unique opportunity to indulge in specialist areas of optometry such as ortho-K, CUES (MECS), glaucoma-related patient management, dry eye clinics and practice to the top of your skillset - you will never be bored or feel like a refraction machine and we'll support you to go further in your development such as gaining IP. If you are not sure about any of these areas, don't worry, we'll guide you every step of the way!

As our new Specialist Optometrist, you'll carry out thorough eye examinations and provide tailored services and solutions that align with each patient’s lifestyle and needs. You'll work within GOC guidelines and company policies to deliver expert care, while supporting the team by resolving clinical or technical queries. Your role also includes liaising with external professionals, maintaining practice equipment, and contributing your knowledge and ideas to the ongoing success of the practice.

Additional Information

  • You must be registered with the GOC or appropriate governing body in order to apply for this role
  • Ideally you will have a Professional Certificate in Glaucoma, be CUES/MECS registered and conversant with OPERA use and hold a Spa Medica post-op accreditation. IP qualification would be most welcome!
  • Our frame selection includes Armani, Pro-design, Woody's, Ray-Ban, Oakley, Stepper and more!
  • We have 5 consulting rooms across 3 practices
  • We are a team of around 20 people
  • This role requires you to work Saturdays
  • Our appointment times are 30-40 minutes depending on the location
