About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Optometrist to join our team in Croydon, delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert eye examinations and tailored optometric advice
  • Fitting a wide range of contact lenses
  • Ongoing care to help patients feel confident, comfortable, and well-supported
  • Working within GOC guidelines and company clinical policies
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth patient journey
  • Resolving clinical or technical queries for the team
  • Liaising with external professionals as needed
  • Maintaining practice equipment and contributing to the success of the practice

Key Details

  • Location: Kerr Eyecare, Croydon
  • Working hours: 3 days per week, including alternate Saturdays
  • Appointment duration: 30-minute slots
  • Team size: 4 members
  • Consulting rooms: 2 available
  • Equipment: OCT, phoropter, fundus, autorefractors (autos), field testers, topography
  • Salary range:
    • Minimum: GBP £60,000.00
    • Maximum: GBP £65,000.00

Requirements

  • Full registration with the GOC (General Optical Council) or an equivalent governing body is mandatory.
  • A MECS qualification is desirable, though support may be available for suitable candidates looking to develop in this area.
