How does working in the “Outdoor Capital of the UK” sound?

You could do just that at our brand-new store in Fort William.

Our Store

Located in the Scottish Highlands, Fort William is famous for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and outdoor activities. Situated at the foot of Ben Nevis, Fort William serves as a gateway to the Scottish Highlands – some of Scotland’s most beautiful outdoor destinations. The town is famous for the Jacobite Steam Train, which is known as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films.

Specsavers have recently opened a brand-new store, and we are looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking Optometrist to join their team on a full or part-time basis. This is such a rare opportunity to step into a brand-new clinical environment and shape the way the store operates from day one.

As this is a brand-new store, you will be working in a modern, fresh, and bright environment. Fort William will initially have 2 test rooms expanding to 4 rooms over time, and all will be equipped with the latest clinical technology including OCT, FARS, and a Zeiss Fields Analyser.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
