Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

If you’re looking for an Optometrist role where you can take your time, practise to a high standard and become part of a close-knit team and community, we’d love to speak with you.

About the Role

We’re looking for a full or part-time Optometrist to join our friendly team in either our Builth Wells or Llandrindod Wells practices (or both, if you love variety!)

This is a great opportunity for an Optometrist who enjoys having the time and freedom to deliver excellent patient care, rather than feeling driven by a packed diary. Our standard testing time is 40 minutes, giving you the opportunity to properly understand each patient and provide the level of care you’d want to receive yourself.

You’ll join a supportive team of eight and work in well-equipped practices offering a varied clinical workload, including WECS and Low Vision Assessments.

Our equipment includes Topcon OCTs and photopters, Humphrey Field Analysers and a range of tonometers, alongside dedicated consulting rooms at each branch.

  • No Weekends
  • 40 minute testing times
  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • 1–2 consulting rooms at each practice
  • Supportive team of eight
  • Enhanced service provisions available and welcomed
  • Modern clinical and testing equipment
  • A strong connection with the local communities we serve
