OPTOMETRIST – MATERNITY COVER | FORDE OPTICIANS, GLASGOW
An opportunity has arisen for an Optometrist to join Forde Opticians on a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting in January/February 2027.

Forde Opticians is a family-run independent opticians that has been established for over 40 years, with practices across Glasgow. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, patient-focused eye care alongside a friendly and personal service.
As an independent practice, we believe in giving our optometrists the time, equipment and clinical freedom to provide the level of care they feel is right for each patient. We have invested in modern equipment, including OCT, while maintaining the personal approach that has been at the heart of the business for the past 40 years.

About the role
The position is open to an early-career optometrist or someone more experienced. We would ideally be looking for someone full-time, but we're very happy to discuss part-time options for the right candidate.
It may also suit a current pre-reg optometrist who is aiming to complete their OSCEs in January 2027. We would be happy to hold the position for the right candidate until they are fully qualified.
