Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management Consultant to support the delivery and transformation of Oracle Fusion HCM solutions across Absence Management, Core HR and Security.

This hands-on functional role requires deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Absence Management, including Fast Formula, Absence Types, Absence Plans, Absence Elements and Work Schedules, alongside a strong understanding of UK absence legislation and Oracle HCM Payroll integration.

You will work closely with business and technical teams across solution design, configuration, testing and deployment, ensuring Oracle HCM solutions meet complex business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle HCM Absence Management

  • Design, configure and support Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM Absence Management solutions.
  • Configure Absence Fast Formula, Absence Types, Absence Plans, Absence Elements and Work Schedule Assignments.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle HCM solutions.
  • Resolve complex functional issues across Absence Management, Core HR and Security, including management of Oracle Service Requests (SRs).
  • Support the business during Payroll runs, investigating and resolving absence-related issues.

Core HR, Security & Payroll Integration

  • Configure and support Oracle Fusion Core HR and Security, including Enterprise Structures, Positions and Workforce Structures.
  • Ensure effective integration between Absence Management, Core HR and Oracle HCM Payroll.
  • Apply strong knowledge of UK Absence legislation, including Sickness, Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave.
  • Validate configuration and data to ensure solutions meet functional and business requirements.

Implementation & Testing

  • Produce business requirements and functional documentation covering reports, interfaces, data conversions and application extensions.
  • Develop and support validation scripts, test scenarios and test scripts across Oracle Fusion HCM.
  • Support business users with test execution, defect investigation and solution validation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams responsible for reports, integrations, data conversions and extensions.

Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers and project leadership to drive project deliverables.
  • Communicate risks, issues, progress and dependencies effectively to project and client stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of Oracle HCM Cloud implementation methodologies, processes and solutions.

Key Skills

  • Strong implementation experience across Oracle Cloud HCM / Oracle Fusion HCM, with deep expertise in Absence Management.
  • Advanced configuration experience across Fast Formula, Absence Types, Absence Plans, Absence Elements and Work Schedule Assignments.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion Core HR and Security, including Enterprise Structures, Position Management and Workforce Structures.
  • Strong understanding of integration between Oracle Absence Management and Oracle HCM Payroll.
  • Expert knowledge of UK Absence legislation, including Sickness, Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave.
  • Proven experience across requirements gathering, solution configuration, functional documentation, testing and production support.
  • Experience creating functional requirements for reports, interfaces, data conversions and application extensions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including experience managing Oracle Service Requests (SRs).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills within complex Oracle HCM transformation environments.
