Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Consultant to support OCI infrastructure and cloud implementation activities.
The consultant should have strong hands-on knowledge of OCI networking, compute, storage, security, and cloud infrastructure architecture, with the ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and troubleshoot OCI networking infrastructure.
- Work with Compartments, VCNs, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Lists and NSGs.
- Configure and troubleshoot Internet Gateway, NAT Gateway, Service Gateway and Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG).
- Work with VCN peering, FastConnect and IPSec VPN connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing and network connectivity between OCI, on-premises and other cloud environments.
- Implement and manage Network Virtual Appliances (NVA) / virtual firewalls and associated routing.
- Work with OCI Compute instances, including Linux/Windows workloads, boot volumes, and block volumes.
- Understand and implement OCI Storage services, including:
- Block Volume
- Boot Volume
- Object Storage
- File Storage
- Configure and manage Load Balancers and basic OCI network security controls.
- Work with IAM, Dynamic Groups, Policies and Compartments.
- Support OCI monitoring, logging and troubleshooting activities.
- Analyse network connectivity issues using tools such as ping, traceroute, telnet/nc, nslookup/dig and OCI networking diagnostics.
- Review existing OCI environments and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and implementation procedures.
- Collaborate with application, database, network and security teams during implementation and troubleshooting.

Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of overall Cloud/Infrastructure experience, with significant hands-on OCI experience.
- Strong practical experience in OCI networking and infrastructure.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting enterprise OCI environments.
- Good understanding of Linux and basic networking concepts.
- OCI certifications such as OCI Architect Associate/Professional are desirable.
- Experience with AWS/Azure is an advantage, particularly in multi-cloud environments.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
UK Requirement
- Candidate must already be located in the UK.
- Candidate should have at least 3 years of UK residency/work experience.
- Must have valid UK work authorization/right to work for the duration of the contract.
- Candidates requiring relocation from outside the UK are not being considered for this role.

- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Comfortable working with enterprise network and infrastructure teams.
- Ability to understand existing architecture quickly and make practical recommendations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
