Oracle CPQ Architect

Location: London, UK
Hybrid: 2-3 day/week
Duration of assignment: 6 months contract Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Design blueprints for complex enterprise-wide Quote-to-Cash, Lead-to-Order, and Subscription Management workflows.
  • Architect configuration rules, product catalogs, pricing logic, commerce processes, and document engine templates.
  • Lead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to translate complex commercial requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Enforce best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and system scalability within Oracle CPQ.

Integration & Technical Governance

  • Define integration architecture between Oracle CPQ and ecosystem applications like Salesforce, Oracle Sales Cloud, NetSuite, and SAP.
  • Design robust APIs utilizing REST, SOAP, JSON, and middleware platforms to ensure seamless data flows.
  • Serve as Design Authority by conducting code reviews, reviewing Big Machines Extensible Language (BML) scripts, and overseeing deployments.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis to minimize custom code and maximize out-of-the-box Oracle CPQ features.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Guide delivery teams consisting of developers, business analysts, and QA engineers throughout the Agile lifecycle.
  • Manage executive stakeholders, aligning technical solutions with broader corporate business strategies and ROI goals.
  • Mitigate technical risks by identifying architectural bottlenecks early and proposing remediation strategies.

Key Skills

Technical Expertise

  • Oracle CPQ Blueprints: Deep mastery of Oracle CPQ architecture, including Configuration, Commerce, Document Engine (Jet UI), and BOM Mapping.
  • Oracle Siebel Functional - Customer Order Management.
  • RGS for Oracle C&M Snr Functional Consultant (CX)
  • Development: High proficiency in Big Machines Extensible Language (BML), BMQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Enterprise Integration: Proven expertise in Web Services (REST/SOAP), JSON, XML, and security protocols like OAuth.
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong understanding of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Oracle CX) and ERP/Billing systems (SAP, Oracle Cloud ERP).
