Oracle Database Administrator
Are you an experienced Oracle Database Administrator looking for an opportunity to play a key role within a financial services organisation?
We're looking for a skilled Oracle DBA to join our Core Banking Services team, helping to ensure the stability, security and performance of our critical banking platforms. This is an opportunity to work with a broad range of technologies, support business-critical systems and contribute to exciting projects within a friendly and collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for the administration, maintenance and ongoing improvement of our Oracle database environments, supporting systems that underpin our core banking platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Oracle database administration and maintenance
- Backup, recovery and disaster recovery testing
- Oracle Data Guard administration
- Database cloning and environment management
- Performance, capacity and security management
- Supporting automation and batch processing activities
- Working on projects and system improvements
- Maintaining documentation, monitoring and reporting
- Providing occasional out-of-hours support for critical issues

What we're looking for
We're interested in candidates who have:
- Strong Oracle DBA experience
- Experience with Oracle Data Guard
- Oracle backup and recovery expertise
- Oracle security knowledge including roles, privileges and TLS configuration
- Unix/Linux administration experience
- SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
