We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain and support business-critical Oracle database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle databases.
  • Monitor database availability, performance and capacity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database and performance issues.
  • Manage backups, restores and recovery using Oracle RMAN.
  • Support Oracle Data Guard and high-availability environments.
  • Perform SQL/PLSQL performance tuning and optimisation.
  • Manage database security, users, roles and permissions.
  • Perform database migrations, cloning and environment refreshes.
  • Support production releases and disaster recovery activities.
  • Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong commercial Oracle DBA experience.
  • Oracle 12c/19c or later.
  • Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • RMAN backup and recovery.
  • Oracle Data Guard.
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
  • Experience supporting business-critical production environments.
  • Oracle RAC/ASM/OEM experience is advantageous.

Security Clearance:

Current SC (Security Check) Clearance is highly desirable. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.

The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting and communication skills, a proactive approach to database management and the ability to work effectively within secure and controlled IT environments.
