Job Title – Oracle DB Administration
Location – London, UK
Mode of Work – Hybrid 3 Days Onsite per week
Type of Hiring – Permanent / Fixed Term Employment (FTE – 12 Months)
Role Overview:
Seeking a Senior Specialist with 7 to 11 years of experience in Oracle DB Administration to manage and optimize Oracle database environments.

Job Description:
- Manage and maintain Oracle database systems ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Monitor database health and implement proactive measures to prevent issues.
- Optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to support PL/SQL development and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) processes.
- Ensure database security, backup, and recovery strategies are implemented and tested.
- Analyze and troubleshoot database-related issues promptly.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Stay updated with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices.
- Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead Oracle DB administration activities including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Manage and optimize ODI workflows and data integration processes.
- Develop, review, and optimize PL/SQL code to support application requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless database operations.
- Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve database issues.
- Enforce database security policies and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare reports on database performance, availability, and capacity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance database reliability and efficiency.
