About The Role
Initially offered as a 2-3 month contract, this opportunity provides flexibility for either part-time or full-time engagement, depending on the candidate's preference. The role is outside IR35, emphasizing contractor independence and compliance. The successful candidate will serve as an Oracle Service Cloud Developer, responsible for supporting the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions tailored to improve customer service operations. This position requires a blend of technical development, system configuration, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure customer service platforms.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent commercial experience in a similar role. Certifications in Oracle Service Cloud are highly desirable, reflecting a solid understanding of platform capabilities and best practices. Additionally, familiarity with SQL, database design, and integration techniques will enhance the candidate’s suitability for this position. Proven experience working within Agile environments and managing complex data migrations is also advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications, ensuring optimal performance and usability.
- Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support business processes.
- Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline customer service operations.
- Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to maintain high-quality data standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
- Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities to ensure smooth implementation of new features and updates.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
