About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Service Cloud Developer to join our client’s team on an initial 2-3 month contract basis, with flexibility for part or full-time engagement. This outside IR35 role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong technical and configuration skills in Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) to contribute to the development, configuration, and enhancement of customer service solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing the platform to deliver scalable, efficient, and high-quality customer service operations. The role requires a blend of technical development, system configuration, and stakeholder collaboration to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. The ability to work independently and within an agile environment is essential, along with the capacity to support data management and system integrations. DBS clearance may be required, and the role offers a flexible working arrangement to accommodate part or full-time candidates.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent commercial experience. Certifications in Oracle Service Cloud are highly desirable, reflecting a proven track record of working with the platform. Candidates should have experience with SQL and database design, along with a solid understanding of system integration principles. Certification in Oracle Service Cloud enhances a candidate’s profile, but practical experience and a demonstrated ability to configure and develop within the platform are paramount. A strong foundation in technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business requirements.
- Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships within the platform.
- Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Customize workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to improve user experience and information accessibility.
- Support data management activities, including imports, exports, and data integrity checks to ensure high data quality.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data-related issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
- Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for future reference and compliance.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure smooth implementation.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
