About The Role

Our established client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Developer to join their expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to large-scale information systems projects within the financial industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, with a proven track record of delivering complex solutions in a dynamic environment. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle database applications that support critical business functions.

The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to ensure the seamless integration and performance of systems. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess over 10 years of extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL development within large-scale information systems environments. A strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization is essential. Previous experience in the financial industry is highly advantageous, providing familiarity with industry-specific requirements and compliance standards. Candidates should hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications related to Oracle development or database management are a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining complex Oracle database solutions to meet business needs.
  • Writing efficient PL/SQL code, creating stored procedures, functions, and triggers, and ensuring optimal database performance.
  • Participating in system analysis and design, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Managing code versioning and configuration management to ensure consistency and traceability across development cycles.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Staying updated with the latest Oracle technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Ensuring data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
