About The Role

Initially a 2-3 month contract, with flexibility for part or full-time candidates, this role is outside IR35. The successful candidate will serve as an Oracle Service Cloud Developer, responsible for supporting the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. This position requires a blend of technical development skills and system configuration expertise to deliver scalable, efficient, and customer-centric service solutions. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical configurations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting integrations with third-party applications. Candidates must be able to obtain DBS clearance if necessary. This opportunity offers a chance to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to innovative customer service platforms and gaining valuable experience in Oracle Service Cloud.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent commercial experience. Certifications in Oracle Service Cloud are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage. Candidates should have proven experience in developing and configuring Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow), with a strong understanding of creating custom fields, objects, tables, and relationships. Knowledge of SQL, database design, and data migration processes is also beneficial. A background in working within Agile delivery environments and familiarity with API integrations further strengthens the candidate’s profile.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business needs.
  • Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support business processes.
  • Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to optimize customer service operations.
  • Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance usability and reporting capabilities.
  • Support data management activities including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for future reference and compliance.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
