About The Role

Our established client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Developer to join their expanding team. This role is integral to the development and maintenance of complex Oracle-based applications and systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, with a proven track record of working within large-scale information systems environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical financial industry applications, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of database solutions that support key business operations.

The Senior Oracle Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system architects, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. The role also involves participating in system improvements, troubleshooting, and ensuring best practices in database management and security. This position offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility to balance remote work with on-site collaboration, fostering a productive and engaging work environment.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Oracle PL/SQL development. A strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization is essential. Experience working within the financial industry, particularly with financial applications, is highly advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to project management. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications in Oracle technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to support business applications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query refinement to ensure system efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards and best practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues promptly to minimize system downtime.
  • Implement and enforce database security policies and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing system capabilities and performance.
  • Mentor junior team members and share expertise to foster a collaborative team environment.
