About The Role
Initially a 2-3 month contract, with flexibility for part or full-time engagement, this role is outside IR35. The successful candidate will serve as an Oracle Service Cloud Developer, responsible for supporting the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. This position requires a blend of technical development and system configuration expertise to deliver scalable and efficient customer service platforms. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions, troubleshooting platform issues, and supporting integrations with third-party applications. Candidates must be able to obtain DBS clearance if required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience in the field. Certifications in Oracle Service Cloud are highly desirable, demonstrating a solid understanding of the platform. Experience with SQL, database design, and integration technologies will be advantageous. Candidates should have a proven track record of configuring and developing within Oracle Service Cloud, with a strong understanding of data migration, system customization, and user interface design.

Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business needs.
- Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships within the platform.
- Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline customer service operations.
- Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to ensure data quality.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data-related issues promptly.
- Support and develop integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, including APIs and other middleware.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure smooth rollouts.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
