About The Role

Our established client is looking for a Senior Oracle Developer to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to large-scale information systems within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Oracle PL/SQL applications that support critical business functions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of solid Oracle PL/SQL development experience, preferably within large-scale information systems environments. A strong understanding of database architecture, performance optimization, and configuration management is essential. Experience working within the financial industry is advantageous, providing familiarity with industry-specific compliance and security standards. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications in Oracle development or database management are a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are critical. Strong communication skills are necessary to liaise effectively with stakeholders and technical teams alike.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to support business applications and processes.
  • Optimize and tune existing database systems to improve performance, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure database integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database schemas, procedures, and configurations.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance system capabilities and performance.
