About The Role

Initially a 2-3 month contract, with flexibility for part-time or full-time engagement, this role is outside IR35. The successful candidate will support the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions for our client. You will be responsible for configuring the platform, creating custom fields and objects, developing business processes, and supporting customer service operations. This position requires a blend of technical development and system configuration expertise to deliver scalable, efficient, and effective customer service solutions. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the platform aligns with best practices and security standards. The ideal candidate must be able to obtain DBS clearance if needed.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent commercial experience.
  • An Oracle Service Cloud certification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in developing and configuring Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and integration with third-party applications will be advantageous.
  • The ability to work independently, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and effectively engage with stakeholders is critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business needs.
  • Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and their relationships within the platform.
  • Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline customer service operations.
  • Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance usability and reporting capabilities.
  • Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data-related issues efficiently.
  • Support integration efforts between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for future reference and compliance.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities to ensure smooth rollouts.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
