About The Role
Initially a 2-3 month contract, with flexibility offered to accommodate part or full-time candidates. The position is outside IR35, emphasizing the importance of compliance and independent working arrangements. The successful candidate will serve as an Oracle Service Cloud Developer, responsible for supporting the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and system configuration skills to deliver scalable, efficient, and customer-focused service solutions. The ideal candidate must be able to obtain DBS clearance if necessary and possess a strong background in configuring and developing within the Oracle Service Cloud platform.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or have equivalent commercial experience demonstrating proficiency in the required skills.
- An Oracle Service Cloud certification is desirable but not mandatory.
- The role demands proven experience in developing and configuring Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow), with a focus on creating custom objects, managing data models, and implementing business rules.
- Knowledge of SQL, database design, and experience with API integrations will be advantageous.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the Oracle ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business requirements.
- Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support client needs.
- Develop and implement business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline customer service operations.
- Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Support data management activities including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
- Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure quality and stability.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
