About The Role
Initially a 2-3 month contract, with flexibility for either part or full-time engagement, this role is outside IR35. We are seeking an experienced Oracle Service Cloud Developer to support the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in configuring and customizing the Oracle Service Cloud platform, including creating custom fields and objects, developing business processes, and supporting customer service operations. This position requires a blend of technical development and system configuration expertise to deliver scalable, efficient customer service solutions that align with business needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that improve customer engagement and operational efficiency. The role may require DBS clearance if necessary, and candidates must demonstrate their ability to adapt to dynamic project environments and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent commercial experience demonstrating proficiency in Oracle Service Cloud development and configuration. Oracle Service Cloud certifications are desirable but not mandatory. Proven experience in configuring and developing on the Oracle Service Cloud platform is essential, along with a solid understanding of data migration, integration, and system security standards. Candidates should also have experience working within Agile delivery environments, demonstrating flexibility and collaborative skills to drive project success.
Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business requirements.
- Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support client needs.
- Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to optimize customer service operations.
- Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance usability and reporting capabilities.
- Support data management activities including imports, exports, and data integrity checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data-related issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
- Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities to maintain comprehensive project records.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure quality and stability.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
