About The Role
Initially offered as a 2-3 month contract, this role offers flexibility for either part-time or full-time engagement, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements. The position is outside IR35, ensuring a straightforward contractual arrangement. The successful candidate will serve as an Oracle Service Cloud Developer, responsible for supporting the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and system configuration skills to deliver scalable, efficient, and user-centric customer service platforms. The ideal candidate must be able to obtain DBS clearance if necessary and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent commercial experience.
- Oracle Service Cloud certification is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
- The role requires a solid foundation in system development and configuration, with proven experience working within Oracle Service Cloud environments.
- Strong technical skills, coupled with a good understanding of data management and integration, are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business requirements.
- Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support business processes.
- Develop and implement business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline customer service operations.
- Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to optimize user experience and operational efficiency.
- Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and ensuring data integrity across platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for future reference and compliance.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure smooth rollouts.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
