About The Role

Initially offered as a 2-3 month contract, this role provides flexibility for both part-time and full-time candidates. The position is outside IR35, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations. The successful candidate will serve as an Oracle Service Cloud Developer, supporting the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions to optimize customer service operations. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and system configuration skills to create scalable, efficient, and user-friendly customer service platforms. The ideal candidate must be able to obtain DBS clearance if necessary and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent commercial experience. Oracle Service Cloud certification is desirable but not mandatory. A strong understanding of database design, SQL, and enterprise application integration will be advantageous. The candidate must have proven experience in configuring and developing within the Oracle Service Cloud environment, with a focus on creating custom objects, fields, and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business requirements.
  • Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support tailored customer service solutions.
  • Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline operations.
  • Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance usability and reporting capabilities.
  • Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to ensure data quality.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data-related issues promptly.
  • Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications to enable seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for future reference and compliance.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure smooth rollouts.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
