Oracle Fusion Payroll Consultant – Contract

Location: UK – predominantly remote

Contract: 6 – 10 month Contract position

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ Oracle Fusion Payroll experience

The Role

We are looking for an immediately available experienced Oracle Fusion Payroll Consultant to support client delivery across Oracle Fusion Payroll projects. This is a hands-on consulting role suited to someone who can quickly understand client requirements, configure solutions and work independently to deliver against project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Oracle Fusion Payroll configuration and functional consulting activities.
  • Analyse client payroll requirements and translate them into effective Fusion solutions.
  • Configure payroll elements, balances, calculations, fast formulas and payroll flows.
  • Support payroll implementations, enhancements and remediation activities.
  • Configure and support UK payroll and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare configuration documentation and functional specifications.
  • Support system testing, defect resolution, UAT and payroll parallel runs.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll configuration and processing issues.
  • Work directly with client Payroll and HR teams to understand requirements and provide solutions.
  • Support cutover, go-live and post-go-live activities as required.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to client teams.

Required Experience

  • Strong understanding and practical experience of UK Payroll.
  • Proven experience configuring Oracle Fusion Payroll.
  • Good knowledge of payroll elements, balances, calculations, fast formulas and payroll processes.
  • Experience delivering payroll projects, including testing, UAT and parallel runs.
  • Experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver within project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Oracle Fusion Core HR experience.
  • Experience with Payroll integrations and third-party payroll systems.
  • Oracle Fusion Payroll certification.
  • Experience delivering UK Payroll implementations or transformation programmes.

Contract Profile

This role would suit a hands-on Fusion Payroll specialist who can join an existing project team and make an immediate contribution, requiring minimal supervision and able to take ownership of their functional deliverables. UK-based candidates only. Predominantly remote working, with occasional client-site travel

Contract rate: £500 - £650 depending on experience inside IR35
