Role Description: Oracle Fusion Senior Project Manager
Reports to:
Programme Manager
Function:
Oracle Cloud Delivery
Role Type:
Hands-on delivery (not coordination-only)
Role Summary
The Oracle Fusion Project Manager owns end-to-end project management and delivery of Oracle Cloud engagements. This is a delivery-accountable role requiring the individual to personally produce, maintain, and defend project artefacts — not delegate their creation — while tracking schedule, cost, and quality outcomes, and acting as the primary customer-facing representative of Mastek at the project level.
Key Responsibilities
Project Governance & Artefacts
- Personally author and maintain the Project Charter, Project Plan, and RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) — not merely review artefacts produced by others
- Establish and run project governance cadence: steering committees, status reporting, gate reviews
- Maintain a single source of truth for project scope, baseline, and change control
Delivery & Schedule Management
- Track delivery of milestones against the agreed schedule across all Oracle Cloud workstreams (e.g., HCM, Payroll)
- Proactively identify schedule slippage, root-cause it, and drive corrective action plans
- Manage the critical path and dependencies across functional and technical streams

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Own the RAID log end-to-end: identify, log, assess impact, assign owners, and drive closure
- Escalate appropriately to the Programme Manager with clear options and recommendations, not just problem statements
Stakeholder & Customer Management

Reporting Line
Reports directly to the Programme Manager, providing regular project status, financial health, and risk updates, and escalating matters requiring programme-level or account-level intervention.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing Oracle Cloud (Fusion) implementation or delivery projects end-to-end
- Strong working knowledge of at least one Oracle Cloud module family (HCM, Financials, Procurement, Payroll, or EPM)
- Demonstrated ability to personally produce project management artefacts (not oversee others producing them)
- Strong financial acumen — comfortable owning budget, margin, and KPI reporting
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- PRINCE2 / PMP / Agile PM certification preferred
- Experience in a similar external customer-facing delivery role, ideally in a systems integrator or consulting environment
Key Differentiator (from a coordination-only PM)
This role explicitly requires hands-on authorship and ownership of governance artefacts and financial tracking — the candidate is expected to do the work personally, using coordination and delegation only for execution of the underlying delivery tasks, not for the core PM disciplines listed above.
