Oracle Cloud HCM Pensions and Payroll Consultant

My client is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Pensions and Payroll Consultant with deep functional and techno-functional expertise in Oracle Fusion Global Payroll. You will join a dynamic delivery team to support end-to-end implementations, rollouts, optimization, and post-go-live managed services for complex UK client environments.

The ideal candidate must have experience of full functional payroll and pensions implementation (including use of Redwood pages where available). Knowledge and experience of design, build, parallel payroll runs, testing cycle, how integrations interact with payroll module, payslips etc as well as leadership skills. Must be able to demonstrate full end to end delivery of the payroll module.

SC Clearance required

Comprehensive knowledge of UK payroll legislation, statutory reporting, and configuration tools within the Oracle Cloud ecosystem.

  • Implementation & Configuration: Design, configure, test, and deploy Oracle Fusion Payroll and Absence/OTL (Oracle Time & Labour) modules.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure complete alignment with UK payroll legislation, including Real Time Information (RTI: FPS/EPS), Year-End processing (P60/P11D), Auto-Enrolment Pensions, statutory payments (SMP/SSP), and HMRC integrations.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Analyse and resolve issues related to Payroll Elements, Balances, Fast Formulas, and payroll flow orchestrations.
  • Data Migration & Testing: Support data validation, conversion templates, parallel reconciliation (PPR), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Run client workshops, gather business requirements, translate them into functional/technical specs, and advise stakeholders on best practices.
  • Updates & Maintenance: Perform impact analysis and regression testing for Oracle Quarterly Updates (Patches).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Oracle Cloud HCM / R12 Payroll modules.
  • UK Legislation: Expert proficiency in UK payroll rules, tax laws, pension administration, and statutory deductions.
  • Technical Toolset: Competent in writing and updating Fast Formulas, building calculation elements, and utilizing HCM Data Loader (HDL) or BI reporting tools.
  • Methodology: Solid understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from blueprinting to hypercare support.
  • Communication: Exceptional client-facing communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical gaps between IT and business payroll teams.

Desirable / Preferred

  • Experience working within the UK Public Sector or large complex enterprise transformations.
  • Certifications in Oracle Cloud Payroll / Absence Management.
