About the Role
We’re looking for a technical Software Developer with strong Oracle HCM Payroll experience to support a core payroll service. You’ll work across the business on high-priority change and continuous improvement (often related to pay awards), using a DevOps-oriented approach.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and delivering changes within the Oracle HCM Payroll space (Oracle Fusion/Oracle Cloud)
- Supporting payroll processing, including runbooks, operational procedures and service stability
- Working with retrospective payroll calculations/processes and associated payroll configuration/development
- Building and supporting integrations (notably via Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC))
- Investigating issues end-to-end, debugging and resolving payroll and integration problems
- Producing and maintaining reporting outputs using OTBI/BI
- Working in line with modern engineering standards, information security and user-focused delivery

Essential experience & skills
- Demonstrable Oracle HCM Payroll experience, specifically payroll and elements configuration
- Strong understanding of:
- Payroll processing and controls
- Payroll runbooks / operational payroll procedures
- Retrospective calculations and payroll tables
- Hands-on development capability with:
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- SQL and PL/SQL
- Fast Formula (including debugging)
- Experience with Oracle Cloud / Oracle Fusion applications
- Experience with OTBI/BI reporting
- Strong investigation and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a corporate services or shared services environment
