Oracle HCM Solution Architect
Location: Leeds, UK
Work Model: Hybrid – 1 Day per Week in the Office
Contract Duration: 6 Months (180 Days)
Rate: £550–£650 per day inside IR35 (TBC)
Are you an experienced Oracle HCM Solution Architect with strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, solution design governance and cross-functional HR transformation? We’re looking for a highly skilled Oracle HCM Solution Architect to lead solution design and governance across a large Oracle HCM optimisation programme, covering Payroll, Benefits, Pensions and Absence Management.
The role will focus on improving existing Oracle HCM capabilities, supporting multiple delivery squads and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with business requirements. You’ll act as a design authority, providing functional and technical leadership while working closely with business stakeholders, product owners and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Oracle HCM solution architecture, design and governance across multiple workstreams.
- Review and shape solutions for Payroll, Benefits, Pensions and Absence Management.
- Provide guidance on Oracle HCM configuration, Fast Formula, integrations, reporting and security.
- Support agile delivery squads and resolve complex functional and technical challenges.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business SMEs and programme leadership.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, supportable and aligned with Oracle Cloud best practices.
- Lead business process transformation and contribute to operating model discussions.
- Collaborate with integration, reporting, security and data migration teams.
- Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, go-live and hypercare.
- Evaluate Oracle Fusion HCM quarterly updates and new capabilities, including Redwood enhancements.
- Mentor and guide functional consultants across multiple Oracle HCM modules.
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality solution delivery.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience working with Oracle HCM.
- Experience delivering multiple Oracle HCM Cloud implementations and optimisation programmes.
- Strong cross-functional expertise across Payroll, Benefits and Absence Management.
- Proven experience leading solution architecture and design across multiple workstreams.
- Strong understanding of Oracle HCM configuration and functional solution design.
- Experience with Fast Formula, integrations, reporting and security design.
- Experience working with technical teams on integrations, data conversion and data migration.
- Strong background in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation and solution design.
- Experience leading or overseeing SIT, UAT, cutover and production deployment.
- Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams and large stakeholder groups.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Oracle HCM solutions.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within UK financial services or banking.
- Knowledge of UK pensions administration and pension-related processes.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Core HR.
- Experience with Oracle Benefits Cloud.
- Experience with Oracle Absence Management.
- Experience with Oracle Payroll Cloud.
- Knowledge of Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service.
- Experience evaluating Oracle Fusion quarterly releases and Redwood capabilities.
- Experience leading business transformation and HR operating model changes.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise HR optimisation programmes.
