About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle OSS Stack Lead to take end-to-end ownership of Vodafone’s Oracle OSS landscape, ensuring platform stability, resilience, service availability, release governance, and continuous service improvement. This role provides technical leadership across Oracle telecom applications including Siebel CRM, OSM, BRM and associated Oracle technologies. The successful candidate will serve as the key customer contact for critical OSS-related incidents and strategic programmes while driving DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) transformation initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to influence operational excellence, automation strategy, stakeholder engagement, and technology roadmaps supporting business priorities. Based in Newbury, the role operates within Application Operations and IT Operations functions.

What you’ll do

  • Define and deliver technical roadmaps aligned with business priorities and operational objectives.
  • Drive capacity planning, risk management, and proactive service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with service management standards, SLAs, KPIs, and operational governance frameworks.
  • Lead major incident response, technical recovery activities, and root cause analysis implementation.
  • Improve operational performance through reduction of incident volumes and enhanced recovery times.
  • Govern production readiness reviews, release planning, deployment activities, and change management controls.
  • Drive automation across deployment, monitoring, and operational processes using DevOps and SRE practices.
  • Support the adoption of CI/CD capabilities using Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Define observability standards using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
  • Act as the senior technical escalation point for business stakeholders, support teams, and external partners.
  • Manage relationships with Oracle and third-party vendors while providing operational reporting and risk assessments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop support engineers while strengthening knowledge management and technical capability.
  • Promote a collaborative DevOps and SRE culture across teams and functions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
