Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant – Weekend Insourcing Opportunities

Essex - Broomfield

Commitment: Weekend Sessions

Rate: Competitive

We are currently seeking experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Consultants to support weekend insourcing lists in Liverpool University Hospital, contributing to NHS waiting list recovery initiatives. These sessions offer the opportunity to work within a well-supported, patient-focused environment across a variety of services, including:

  • Outpatient clinics
  • Minor oral and head & neck surgical procedures
  • Extractions

This is an excellent opportunity to supplement your practice with flexible weekend work while collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients from NHS waiting lists
  • Interpret diagnostic investigations and clinical findings
  • Deliver high-quality care within a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Provide clinical leadership and, where appropriate, supervision to junior colleagues
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including clear follow-up plans aligned with Trust pathways

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration with Specialist Register accreditation in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Current Licence to Practise
  • Demonstrable experience working as an Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant within the NHS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
