I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role will involve management of complex and impacted extractions, including wisdom teeth surgery, retained roots and difficult surgical cases. Experience in soft tissue surgery, surgical exposure of impacted teeth, management of dental infections, oral lesion assessment and biopsy procedures will be advantageous.
You will be responsible for providing detailed treatment plans, clear communication with referring dentists and comprehensive clinical records. A collaborative approach is essential as you will work closely with our existing clinical team to deliver seamless multidisciplinary care.
As our specialist services continue to expand, we are particularly interested in clinicians who can contribute to the development of a high-quality oral surgery referral pathway within the practice.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be GDC registered with appropriate postgraduate training and experience in Oral Surgery.
You should be confident managing a broad range of oral surgery procedures independently while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care and communication. Experience working within private practice and specialist referral environments would be highly desirable.
