Role Overview
Ekiva is looking for an experienced Orchestration Architect to define and lead the architecture of next-generation telecom automation platforms supporting 5G Core, RAN, Open RAN, Edge Computing, Private Networks and intelligent network operations.
The successful candidate will have strong expertise in telecom architecture, network automation, software-defined networking and cloud-native technologies, with the ability to translate complex telecom requirements into scalable platform solutions.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end architecture for telecom orchestration and automation platforms.
- Design integration architecture across:
- 4G/5G Core Networks
- LTE/5G RAN
- Open RAN components
- IP Transport Networks
- Edge Computing platforms
- Enterprise applications
- Design orchestration workflows for:
- Network deployment
- Service provisioning
- Configuration management
- Fault management
- Performance optimisation
- Closed-loop automation
- Define interfaces between:
- Network controllers
- RAN intelligent platforms
- Core network functions
- AI/ML engines
- Operational platforms
- Support intent-based networking and autonomous network capabilities.
- Define architecture for:
- Network intelligence
- Service assurance
- AI-driven optimisation
- Zero-touch automation
- Support technical discussions with:
- Telecom operators
- Industrial customers
- Technology partners
- Engineering teams
- Review technical designs and ensure scalability, security and performance.
- Support:
- Customer workshops
- Technical proposals
- Proof of Concept demonstrations
- Solution presentations
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

What We're Looking For
- 10+ years experience in Telecom Architecture, Network Engineering or Solution Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of:
- 4G LTE architecture
- 5G SA architecture
- Private 5G networks
- Open RAN architecture
- Network slicing
- Edge Computing
- SDN/NFV concepts
- Telecom automation
- Experience with:
- Telecom orchestration platforms
- ETSI MANO concepts
- ONAP or equivalent platforms
- Network controllers
- REST APIs
- Cloud-native architectures
- Kubernetes-based platforms
- Understanding of:
- Near-RT RIC / Non-RT RIC concepts
- Network automation frameworks
- AI/ML-driven network optimisation
- Industrial communication networks
- Experience with multi-vendor telecom environments including:
- Ericsson
- Nokia
- Samsung
- Huawei
- Open RAN platforms
- Equivalent technologies
- Experience supporting telecom solution design and innovation activities.
- Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
- All applicants must be UK Residents with the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to sponsor visa applications.
- Full-time on site in Egham, ability to commute.
