Order Desk & Sales Team Leader | Hull
Full Time | Permanent | £30,000 - £35,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and energetic Order Desk & Sales Team Leader to join a well-established international business supplying essential products into highly regulated global markets.
This is far more than a traditional team leader role. You'll take responsibility for leading a small team of 5-10 sales and order desk professionals, creating a positive, high-performing environment where people are motivated to maximise every customer opportunity while delivering an exceptional service.
The business has built an enviable reputation with customers across international markets and is looking for a leader who can bring fresh energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for developing people. While customer relationships are already well established, there is significant opportunity to encourage a more proactive sales approach, helping the team identify opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and drive additional revenue from an existing customer base.
You'll be someone who thrives on leading from the front. A natural motivator, you'll enjoy coaching individuals, building confidence, creating accountability and inspiring your team to achieve their full potential. Your enthusiasm and commercial mindset will be infectious, helping to create a culture where success is recognised, opportunities are embraced and everyone is working towards shared goals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
