Job Title: Order Engagement Administrator

Location: Ulverston, Cumbria
Contract length: 12 months contract
Work Structure: Hybrid

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for an Order Engagement Administrator to join a world leader offering Products, Solutions, and Services across the entire Energy value chain on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation to play a key role in supporting Manufacturing Operations. You will shape a competitive, sustainable supply chain, partnering globally to drive productivity, quality, and digitalization.

About the Role

The Order Engagement Administrator is a key administrative and customer support role within Siemens Energy’s Delivery Team in Ulverston. Responsible for guiding orders for subsea electrical and fiber optic connectors from purchase through plant production to final delivery, this position acts as a vital bridge between internal teams and external clients. Daily duties involve accurate data entry, purchase order processing, and tracking inventory across systems like SAP and Teamcenter, all while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process incoming customer purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Perform data entry, handle general administrative tasks, and manage order-related documentation.
  • Maintain and update order tracking systems (such as SAP and Team Center) to ensure real-time visibility of order statuses.
  • Interact directly with external customers both digitally and face-to-face regarding their orders.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide timely order updates and address inquiries.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external clients to resolve discrepancies or issues with purchase orders and paperwork.
  • Help guide subsea electrical and fiber optic connector orders through the plant to achieve on-time delivery and meet high-quality standards.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline and enhance overall order processing efficiency.

Essential Requirements

  • Exceptional precision and accuracy when handling data, documentation, and purchase orders.
  • Strong dedication to customer service and interacting effectively with clients both digitally and face-to-face.
  • Ability to thrive and maintain accuracy in a high-tempo, fun, and dynamic work environment.
  • Capability to work independently and manage your own workload with minimal supervision once trained.
  • A strong desire to build knowledge about the company’s subsea connectors, business operations, and industry applications.
  • A college or university qualification in a business-related subject.
  • Proven prior experience in a sales, customer service, or administrative environment.
  • Understanding or familiarity with ERP and PLM systems (specifically SAP and Teamcenter).

Desirable Requirements

  • A college or university qualification in a business-related subject.
  • Proven prior experience working in a customer service or sales setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of enterprise systems, specifically SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Teamcenter (Product Lifecycle Management).
