Order Processing Administrator
Location: Hull
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Part-Time)
Working Pattern: Ideally Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 2:30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day (flexibility available, but five-day coverage is preferred)
Salary: £15,750 per annum (pro rata), based on a full-time equivalent salary of £28,000
Role Description
We are seeking a conscientious and highly organised Order Processing Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is central to ensuring the smooth administration of purchase and sales orders, from initial order creation through to delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating systems, and monitoring the progress of multiple orders through the fabrication and delivery process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in an administrative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Process corresponding sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Input, update, and maintain order information within Sage 50 and associated systems.
- Monitor and manage orders as they progress through the fabrication process.
- Track orders through to delivery note stage, ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the order lifecycle.
- Liaise with internal teams as required to ensure orders are progressing smoothly.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or data issues promptly.
- Ensure all records, files, and systems are maintained to a high standard of accuracy.
- Monitor project delivery performance, ensuring orders are completed and delivered within agreed time frames; track on-time delivery and record any delays.
- Maintain accurate records of the fabricators assigned to each product.
- Record each fabricator’s involvement and the production hours worked.
- Compare actual production hours against estimates and identify significant variances.
