Job Title: Order Processing Specialist
Location: Horsham, RH12 4QD
Salary: £14.68
Contract: 12-month
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00
GI Group are recruiting for an Order Processing Specialist for our client who is a world leader in serving science. Reporting into the Order Processing Team Leader, you will process and submit client orders, ensuring all requirements are captured accurately and that compliance is always maintained. You’ll support order prioritisation and help deliver a high-quality service to both internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create and approve orders within the Global Project Management (GPM) system, ensuring orders and associated paperwork are accurate and complete.
- Use internal systems confidently to manage order processing from submission through to approval.
- Ensure internal and external customer expectations are consistently met.
- Maintain compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, processes, and Health & Safety requirements (including training and refreshers).
- Work to agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate effectively with other departments to support delivery and resolve queries.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and support business objectives.
- Support ad-hoc tasks as required by your Line Manager.

Required skills & experience
- GCSE (or equivalent) including English and Maths (or equivalent experience/qualification).
- Strong IT skills and confidence working across multiple systems.
- Experience in data entry and high-volume processing.
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate workload effectively.
- High accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
- Experience working within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
- Experience within an operational environment.
