What will you do?

Under the direction of the Order Processing Team Leader and Seniors, you will submit client orders ensuring compliance is adhered to, all client requirements and specifications are met in order to support the prioritization appropriately. Understand the impact of non-compliance with standards, policies, processes, and procedures as set out within GPM, Thermo Fisher Scientific SOP’s and Health and Safety Policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient use of Thermo Fisher Scientific systems.
  • Ensure both internal and external client expectations are met.
  • Follow and maintain compliance to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) through training and refresher programme.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators are met.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Effectively communicate with other departments.
  • Highlight and improve process efficiencies to achieve business objectives.

Job Description:

  • Create and approve orders in Global Project Management System for multiple Thermo Fisher sites.
  • Ensure that orders and associated paperwork are accurate and actioned within the correct timeframe.
  • Problem solve and be proactive in finding a solution when identifying errors within orders and ensuring these are rectified through the helpdesk system when required.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure orders are processed and approved correctly, on time and meeting right first-time standards.
  • Be responsible for managing your own helpdesk orders and promptly respond to project managers to find solutions efficiently.
  • Supporting OPD Seniors when required.
  • Maintaining compliance to GMP, safety & quality regulations.
  • Undertake any other duties on an ad-hoc basis as required by your Line Manager.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is required
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) – GCSE English Grade C / 4 or equivalent.
  • Good numeracy skills– GCSE Mathematics Grade C / 4 or equivalent.
  • Ability to work within various temperatures including, but not limited to, Ambient (15°C–25°C) & Cold (2°C–8°C)
  • Understanding of ERP (and business specific computer systems)
  • Strong interpersonal, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate successfully.

Although not essential, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:

  • Worked within a Good Manufacturing Practice environment.
  • Worked within an operational environment.

Education:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • GCSE and/or equivalent experience/qualification (including English and Mathematics).
  • Computer literate.
