We are seeking an organised and proactive Order Tracking & Receipt Coordinator to support the efficient management, allocation, tracking, and maintenance of plant, tools, and equipment within the MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C.

This role will be based at HPC - Site based, working a 5-day week, and will play a key role in supporting operational delivery across the project. Working as part of the PTEC Team and reporting to the Plant and Equipment Manager, the role will coordinate equipment availability, maintenance, inspections, inventory control, logistics, and associated documentation, helping to minimise downtime and maximise the effective use of plant and equipment across project sites.

The successful candidate will work closely with building managers, site supervisors, maintenance teams, procurement, logistics, suppliers, and wider Alliance teams to ensure plant and equipment is available, compliant, properly maintained, and delivered when required.

Key Deliverables / Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the allocation and deployment of plant and equipment to project sites based on operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment location, usage, condition, maintenance, and availability
  • Ensure plant, tools, and equipment are available when required and maintained in good working condition
  • Work with building managers and site supervisors to forecast equipment requirements and plan timely provision
  • Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, testing, calibration, and certification activities
  • Liaise with maintenance teams to ensure repairs and defects are addressed promptly, minimising equipment downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure plant and equipment complies with relevant UK health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Support the implementation of appropriate safety protocols for the operation, transportation, and storage of equipment
  • Support regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying and helping to mitigate potential hazards
  • Manage inventory levels of plant, equipment, spare parts, tools, and accessories
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure required items are ordered and available when needed
  • Maintain effective inventory management systems to track equipment availability, usage, and maintenance history
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and audits, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings
  • Coordinate the transportation and movement of plant and equipment between sites
  • Work with logistics teams to ensure heavy machinery and specialist equipment is transported safely, securely, and efficiently
  • Ensure equipment is appropriately secured during transportation and suitably stored on site
  • Prepare regular reports covering equipment usage, maintenance status, inventory levels, and other relevant performance information
  • Utilise equipment and inventory management systems to generate reports, analyse data, and support operational decision-making
  • Ensure all plant and equipment records are accurate, current, and compliant with internal procedures and external requirements
  • Work collaboratively with client and Alliance teams, promoting a positive, integrated One Team approach

Key Requirements / Qualifications

  • Professional qualification with a minimum of NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, preferably within a plant maintenance discipline
  • Previous experience in a service and maintenance support role, particularly involving the management of plant, tools, and equipment, is highly desirable
  • Good working knowledge of inventory and asset management
  • Experience using computerised inventory, asset, or equipment management systems
  • Good understanding of hire industry processes and practices is advantageous
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, purchasing, logistics, and materials management
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records and documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, resolve issues, and support process improvements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, internal teams, stakeholders, and client representatives
  • Basic understanding of UK health and safety legislation and regulations relating to plant, tools, and equipment
  • CCNSG or CPCS Safety Passport
  • Positive, can-do mentality with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Strong collaborative leadership skills and the ability to support team performance, training, mentoring, and integration
  • Ability to reach sensible and pragmatic compromise positions when managing competing requirements
