Location: Samlesbury - Minimum 3 days onsite per week

Salary: £44,907+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:
As a Procurement Order Book Planner, you will support the Air Production & Support customers, working directly with stakeholders in Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Logistics to maintain the integrity of cross-customer demand management and ensure the accuracy of orders placed into Buyer Work Queues.
Core duties:
- Managing the supply and demand pattern for a given area of responsibility, ensuring the plan is in line with customer requirement dates and supplier lead times.
- Ensuring the procurement static data within the ERP system is properly configured and optimized for day-to-day operations – or act as a conscience to buyers:
- Lead time, buffers, safety times, MOQ, EOQ, etc.
- Being able to interrogate the Business partner static data and understanding its implications (MOQ vs. EOQ) and challenge when set up wrong.
- Maintaining Good to Go and Pricing Model with pricing/order enablement status.
- When enabled, confirming orders in line with the projects specified in the MRP created plan.
- Understanding NTP process and submitting new items into the process and track.

Skill and Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of INFOR LN. Experience or prior exposure to SAP or TMS, IT software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel would be beneficial.
- Experience running/supporting meetings and delivering presentations.
- Confident in communicating, challenging, and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain institution at the appropriate level, or be willing to work towards it (e.g., for grade D positions this means attendance on CILT Module 2 LCC2 or PCC2 and CILT membership at Affiliate level would be beneficial).
Order Book Planner within the PSDU - Procurement Service Delivery Unit:
The Procurement Service Delivery Unit are responsible for supporting Airframe, Systems and Consumables within the Procurement Air Sector at BAE Systems. The role involves operating best practice Planning & Logistics processes and systems in support of key business operational challenges across the internal and external supply chain.
